On day on his way hom, Mr. Smith saw a thif carrying a TV st and a rcordr running along th strt hurridly. H didn't stop th thif. Instad, h pulld down his hat and prtndd not to hav sn him. A fw minuts latr, a policman stoppd him and askd if h had sn a man with a TV st and a rcordr pass by. Mt. Smith answrd that h hadn' t. Th policman, howvr, soon caught th thif.
